Retail Theropy

A few weeks ago I needed to take my car back to Mudgee for a service and some warranty work so what does one do all day while waiting for my car. "SHOPPING"

Got to catch up with my In-Laws & Sister-In-Law for a lovely lunch.
Finally got to look around the lovely shops that are all over town. (Boys just don't like shopping)
Found this great Stitchery in one of their sewing stores.
"Oh Christmas Tree" by Angels in Disguise

It was in the window of the store in a frame with a red border.
I will probably frame with fabric and make it a wall hanging. (Don't think for this Xmas though)

A Quilt A Day....

Keeps the Doctor Away ???

I'm not sure if that's the case but that's all it took to make another one of my wonderful/famous Flannel PJ Quilts.

This one I've made out of 6" squares using some old Pj's and other new flannelette fabrics.
Again I've backed it unconventionally by just using scrap pieces of polar fleece fabric I had.

(Don't look too close, there are some "Sheila" pookers there)

I'm still sticking with my promise of not buy any fabric for the rest of this year. I had all the flannelette fabric in my stash or second hand pj's given to me. I had the scrap pieces of polar fleece too. I did have to go and buy thread this week.

Love some of the fabrics - handbags, shoes, cats....

I'm thinking of giving this quilt to my dearest friend who doesn't sew and gladly appreciates handmade items especially from me.

Thought I would send it and surprise her for Christmas.

Secret Santa Christmas Swap 2009

Finally my parcel is on it's way overseas......

That's all I can say.
This is all I can show.
Let's hope it makes someone Christmas Day a bit more special.

Now back to some more sewing.....
As work is a bit quiet at the moment, I thought it was a good opportunity to
catch up on some Xmas sewing.

I'm putting together another Flannel PJ Quilt too.

Back with more photos soon.....
