Yes I'm still alive although I didn't think I was going to make it.....
I've been on my "death bed" this week. The dreaded flu got me yet again. (3rd Time in as many weeks)
I've finally got some antibiotics so lets hope I get rid of it this time.
I'm supposed to be doing Group Certificates & BAS's for tax time but I just haven't even managed to be able to get out of bed 'til yesterday.
I've been looking at a few blogs but sorry ladies, I just haven't had the energy for anything else.
Hope everyone else is keeping well. Poor James is away in the truck, sick too. We're a great bunch here.

A "real" completed projects
My Christmas Stitchery is complete.
I've turned it into a table runner or there are holders on the back to enable me to hang it. Again I have "used what I have". I've used the lovely Christmas fabric my future SIL gave me.
Maybe I'll have Christmas in July so I can display all my lovely Christmas sewing.
I've been very busy with work at the moment so my blog has been neglected as usual and I have plenty of blog posts to look through on my bloglines. Hope everyone is well and escaped the "Swine Flu" or any other winter colds.
Wedding plans are coming along slowly but surely. I've found my very unconventional wedding dress and am finding it more difficult finding matching shoes and some kind of shrug, bolero, jacket. I may have to make something myself.
Meeting with the Celebrant today to get all our paperwork in order and Marriage licence processed.
I've started the Leanne's House stitchery I showed you in my last post. Always love working with one colour in a stitchery and this project is no exception.
Look forward to catching up with everyone again soon.

I found it .......
My next project.....
I read on Dear Fii's blog that she was in the next Homespun magazine. I dropped into the Newsagency yesterday and it was there.... I don't make toys (yet) but the article was interesting to read just the same.
As I drooled over the magazine, as usual, I found my next project. This lovely stitchery that says it all.
"Winter is most certainly best spent at home stitching".
And I was pleasantly surprised to see that the lovely project is by no other than Leanne Beasley.
I'll certainly be making this next.
I'll be using what fabrics I have (I promise) and I'm using the pattern from a magazine (which I promised) and I will use what thread I already have too......
I've started a page element on my side bar of all my projects for 2009. It made me realise how many unfinished projects I have. This doesn't include the quilts I still have to back/finish. As you can see, I don't get to my sewing machine very much. I think I will move my sewing machine around the side of the dining room table that I can get to and do a little sewing every evening.

What Movies I've Been Watching

I relaxed on the Sunday watching these movies and trying to get rid of my cold. Great Chick Flicks help all colds.J also took me on a "Date" to the movies on Saturday night. We watched Terminator Salvation. (not a chick flick) Very very loud and great on the big screen.
Thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts...... I think another early night and more drugs should help for sure.
I have managed to get a little more stitching done but nothing to show as yet.

Sick Day
This is how I’m feeling today.
Got the computer all sorted out. Kids just touch a button they should not have so hence, kids don’t touch MY computer anymore.
I’m taking a sick day today and I’m rugged up on the lounge with my laptop and tv. I’ve come down with the dreaded cold/sore throat, just totally miserable.
I’ve also got a very sore neck (kinked neck) so I must fix that with dencorub & massage today.
Maybe I’ll feel well enough later to get some stitching done. I must finish my Christmas runner.
Hope everyone is keeping warm as the temperatures have dropped all over Australia at the moment (It is winter but does it have to be cold?)
Have a great weekend.

Computer problems
Just thought I'd better check in with all my blogging friends.
We had a long weekend last weekend which was lovely but not restful for me. We had J's boys here for the weekend. Lovely that they like to visit here now but there was certainly no rest for me. I felt like all I did was cook, clean, wash, etc all weekend. No stitching was even picked up. So hence I have nothing to show you.
Now "MY" computer/laptop has decided it doesn't want to show me it's lovely screen.
It turns on, all the buttons and lights flash, I can even hear it saying hello to me but it just doesn't want to wake up and see me.
I'm on J's computer tonight and will have to take mine to the shop tomorrow. Great!
Chat again soon xx
